Grant Segal Grant Segal,Program Director

Grant has been in the sport of diving for over 20 years. He grew up diving in the ADA program where he won two County High School diving titles (1987 & 1988). He then went on to compete at the college level at Florida State University. Grant is a Senior Partner in a financial advisory firm that specializes in wealth accumulation and preservation for individuals and 401k and pension plans for businesses. He lives in Cumming with his wife, Cindy and two kids Makenna and Griffin.

John Ames John Ames, Head JO Coach

John comes from George Washington University and the Montgomery Dive Club, one of the largest diving programs in the nation. With Montgomery, Ames served as the team's associate head coach. He coached multiple Junior and Senior National qualifiers, as well as a number of Junior World Championship qualifiers. In his six season at George Washington, he guided the Colonials to numerous upper-tier Atlantic 10 Conference finishes, with both the men's and women's teams finishing as high as second. He also coached several NCAA Zone Diving Championships qualifiers. Prior to his stint with Montomery and George Washington, Ames served as an assistant coach with the Northern Virginia Dive Club. He also worked as a graduate assistant and diving coach at Western Illinois University. Ames graduated from Ohio University in 1993 with a bachelor's degree in psychology after completing his collegiate diving career with the Bobcats. He earned a Master of Science degree in sport administration while at Western Illinois.

Tim Hallisey Tim Hallisey, Assistant Coach

Tim comes from the Alabama Junior program, where he won numerous county titles, high school titles and finished in the top 5 several times in the High School State Championship. He finished his competitive diving career when he attended the University of Alabama. Tim also coaches Marist High School , Marist Middle School, St. Pius High School and Wynterhall Summer league teams. Tim has been coaching for over 20 years and been with Atlanta Diving since 1994.

Jonathan Nye Jonathan Nye, Assistant Coach

Jonathan started competitive diving at the age of 8, beginning at the Junior Olympic level with Atlanta Diving in 1980. He Qualified for National age groups 8 years, won 15 county championships (DASL), 3 state championships (Junior Olympics), and 4 high school county and state championships, and was ranked sixth in the nation at 12 years old. He was also awarded a diving scholarship at the University of GA from 1990-1992. Jonathan also coaches for Wesleyan Middle and High School and during the summer coaches for The Branches.

Jessica Johnstone Jessica Johnstone, Assistant Coach

Jess began diving competitively at age 13 and dove in the atlanta area. She attended the university of Notre Dame on a diving scholarship and graduated with a double major in psychology and computer applications. At Notre Dame, she was named academic all-american and received the Knute Rockne scholar athlete award. Jess then received her master's degree in counseling psychology at Colorado State University where she volunteered with the university's diving team and taught undergraduate psychology courses. She is now the upper school counselor at The Walker School and coaches both Walker's diving team and Dunwoody Country Club's summer league team.

Lane Bassham Lane Bassham, Assistant Coach

Lane comes from Moultrie, GA and started her diving career under the famous Moose Moss in 1990. She made her first nationals at the age of 12 and competed at the national level for 11 years, including 3 gold medals with her syncro partner, Lauryn McCalley. Lane finaled at the 2000 and 2004 Olympic Trials and was a member of the US national Team from 1997-2004. Lane also competed for the University of Alabama under Pat Greenwell where her career led her to 4 All-American nominations, 3 SEC gold medals and one NCAA National Championship title. She now lives in Marietta and works for HLB Gross Collins, P.C. a Certified Public Accounting and Consulting firm as their Marketing Director. She has been coaching with ADA since 2005.
